And once again, the unfortunate wizard Rincewind is doing his favorite thing—running. Yes, he runs very well, especially if it’s not just running, but running AWAY. From the incredible dangers that, for some reason, keep chasing our wizard, never allowing him to enjoy even a minute of boredom and idleness.
Only after Rincewind managed to escape from the terrible Dungeon Dimensions in which he had been stuck after the events of “The Staff and the Hat,” he ends up in a new predicament: he is pulled out—more precisely, summoned—by an up-and-coming demonologist, Eric Tursley. And now, like any summoned demon, Rincewind is simply obliged to fulfill Eric’s three wishes. Only then will he receive the long-awaited freedom. Well then—wishes, wishes. What question? All he has to do is snap his fingers.
And Rincewind snaps his fingers. And along with him, someone else snaps theirs—watching the wizard from right inside the very depths of Hell.
