Golosom is an audiobook library. There are no recommendation algorithms trying to guess what you want to hear. No ratings shaping the taste of the crowd. There is a catalog. There is a player. There is a book. The rest is up to you.

Most audiobooks here are narrated by real people — not by a synthesizer, not by an AI that doesn't know where to pause. A living voice is an art of its own. A good narrator can turn a solid text into something incredible, and a bad one can kill even great prose. We try to collect the former.

Some recordings are classic radio plays from Soviet-era archives. Others are the work of modern studios and enthusiasts who record at home but with a professional attitude. If you happen to be one of them — hello, we should talk.

This site exists not because it's a business. It exists because someone had to build it. There are plenty of people who want to listen to books for free. Far fewer are willing to make that happen without plastering ads on every corner. We tried to be among the latter.
