In the early 1970s in Moscow, the body of a young man is found on the shoulder of the Zvenigorod highway. Captain Roman Savin’s team discovers that the victim, the photographer Ilya Manyukhov, was running a dirty business—blackmailing influential people with compromising photos. Among his photographs, the captain finds an image of a girl who was murdered on a city beach a year earlier. Could it be that the photographer was involved in her death? Savin doesn’t suspect yet that he has found a clue that will lead to terrible discoveries.
