In 1970, in a provincial town called Plievsk, murders began to occur—murders of unnoticed men who had recently moved to the town. This alarms senior lieutenant Pavel Boldin from the criminal investigation department (UGRO), who tries to figure out the reasons behind these crimes. When Boldin’s boss becomes the next victim, Boldin understands that the killer has crossed every line and that the law-enforcement authorities now face a complicated investigation.
