In 1972, a series of murders took place in Moscow—killing art workers, including the famous singer, the well-known conductor, and a popular performer. All the victims were robbed; the criminals stole their unique collections—jewels, rare books, and coins. Captain MUR Ivan Yegorov is tasked with conducting the investigation. He discovers similarities in all three crimes: all the murdered were figures of culture, and all were killed in their apartments using the same method—broken neck vertebrae. Yegorov finds that all the victims shared a common passion that led to their deaths. The detective decides to detain the dangerous killer without wasting any time.
