Wolff is uneasy about the persistent visits of two young women from Montenegro who work as fencers—one of them, they claim, is also his adopted daughter. The girls practically stalk him: besides his precarious position as a migrant, they also have huge troubles of their own. One of them is suspected of theft, and then—also of murder.
The case becomes complicated by an unexpected international scandal involving a Yugoslav dynasty and the appearance of foreign spies on the scene. But, as always, Wolff won’t allow himself to be misled, and in the end he unmasks the killer.
