Taylor Ebert is an ordinary, unpopular girl at school—but she has a secret: she has a superpower. Of course, it’s not only her who has a similar secret (and for someone, it may not even be a secret). In this world, people are commonly divided into heroes, villains, and neutral loners. Costumes, masks, nicknames instead of names, unspoken rules, politics, and dirty tricks come with the territory.
On one of Taylor’s early outings, she’s mistaken for a villain by mistake, which throws her into a world of constant confrontation between good and evil—where villains can do socially useful work and save the world, and heroes aren’t always as pure as they want to appear. All Taylor can count on is new friends, a clear head, and an unusual superpower that allows her to control insects.
