Spring 1941. The political situation has reached its limit. No one has any doubt left that war between the USSR and Nazi Germany is inevitable. The main task of the Soviet government right now is to buy time and delay the start of hostilities as much as possible. This is not easy at all. A non-aggression treaty with Yugoslavia could be a good help in achieving this goal, but the Balkans are extremely unsettled at the moment. After the coup, German troops are being drawn up to the country’s borders. To prepare an invasion of the Croatian capital, Zagreb, a group of SS agents arrives, including the Soviet agent — Obersturmbannführer Stierlitz. Given the situation, his task is to sabotage the activities of the Weesenmeyer group and to delay the start of the war in the eastern direction.
