A shelter is always only for “yours”—for those who understand, accept, love, and protect one another. But nobody lives in a vacuum; sooner or later, new people will show up nearby. Some will become close and one of your own, and from others you’ll want to run as far and as quickly as possible. But… where do you run if behind your back you have your shelter and those you care about? That means holding a full perimeter defense against the strangers and the alien. And that’s how the Moscow train station flinched from the determined steps of an energy-vampire aunt, spitting on everyone except herself—and in the local forests appeared a greedy type who makes a business out of catching birds. Meanwhile, to the new resident of a suburban dacha settlement, the never-sated relatives are already on their way—sure that they should be supported for life. To all these challenges, our heroes will have to resist. No, not because the shelter’s inhabitants are unfriendly, but because it’s not worth spending your life on those who only love to consume others—giving nothing in return.
