Recryptum. Parasite Star

Nikolay Lumras is a writer working in various subgenres of action fiction. His novel cycle “Recipitum” is set in LitRPG and reached the finals of the literary contest “New Frontier.” We present the first book of this cycle, titled “The Star of a Parasite.” The main hero is infected with a deadly disease, and according to doctors’ predictions he has only a couple of months to live. He spends all his savings on a virtual-reality capsule and decides to spend his remaining days in a full-immersion game, where he registers under the nickname Card. There the hero chooses a new and little-studied class, “Phantom.” Accidentally, Card triggers a chain of quests that leads him to a hidden location. Clearing it alone is impossible, which means he must choose allies correctly—and that isn’t easy. The hero doesn’t realize that in this fateful quest he’ll gain not only loyal friends, but also wicked enemies; and besides, he’ll get a chance to assemble a set of a relic artifact.
