The main hero has caught a fatal infection, and according to doctors, he has only a couple of months to live. He spends all his savings on a virtual reality capsule and decides to spend his remaining days in a fully immersive game, where he registers under the nickname Card. There, the hero chooses a new, barely studied class—“Phantom.” Accidentally, Card launches a chain of quests that leads him to a hidden location. To pass it alone is impossible, which means you have to choose the right allies—something that isn’t so easy.
The hero’s incurable illness doesn’t make him angry. Card is very kind and responsive; in the game he tries to help everyone who needs support. This attracts like-minded people, but it also brings him deadly enemies.
Card is obsessed with the idea of saving this world—and to do that he must cleanse the planet of filth by destroying the Conductor and everyone who might interfere with his mission. But the world of Recriptum belongs to both entities—good and evil—and only their union can preserve balance.
