Recryptum: The Parasite's Face

The main hero has contracted a fatal infection, and according to doctors, he has only a couple of months to live. He spends all his savings on a virtual reality capsule and decides to spend his remaining days in full-immersion gaming, where he registers under the nickname Card. There, the hero chooses a new, little-studied class—“Phantom.”

By accident, Card triggers a chain of quests that leads him to a hidden location. There’s no way to complete it alone—so he must choose the right allies, and that isn’t so easy.

The hero’s incurable illness didn’t make him angry. Card is very kind and responsive; in the game he tries to help everyone who needs support. That attracts like-minded people, but it also earns him deadly enemies.

The clan “Black Skulls,” thanks to cunning and treachery, almost wiped out all the advantages the hero gained from possessing a relic artifact. However, Card and his team strike back—capturing the enemy base and creating their own clan “Pleiades.”

But sometimes taking a place is easier than holding it. What will the hero do next?
