A young actor is incredibly lucky to land a significant supporting role of Grand Duke Georgi Alexandrovich Romanov in a series about Nicholas II’s youth. A farewell evening in his hometown was meant to be the beginning of his new life as a movie star on a nationwide scale. But fate had other plans: he comes to aboard the cruiser “Pamyat Azova” in the midst of the Eastern voyage of Nicholas’s heir, finding himself in the very body of the character he was going to play. A real reincarnation! Note: although it’s hard to find authentic late-19th-century speech in the dialogues of the characters, I try to convey the atmosphere of that time.
