Leo Sukhov is a pen name of a Russian science-fiction writer. With the LITRPG cycle “Victims of Greed,” the author made it into the top three finalists of the “New Boundary” literary contest, held jointly by us and the Magic Dome Books publishing house on the Author.Today portal. A feature of the cycle is that it’s written with a sizable share of humor.
We present, in audiobook format, the third book of this cycle.
The main hero, Filya, is one of thousands who agreed, for a large cash reward, to take part in the game and plunge into a virtual world. There, progress has to start essentially from zero—getting food and building huts, just like our distant ancestors did. For success, it’s reasonable to unite into groups—which, of course, happens. However, resource distribution is not always based on fairness, because not everyone behaves honestly.
A relatively peaceful life in the settlement gives way to war. Conflicts are provoked by the system itself, imposing penalties for refusing to fight. That’s why small towns constantly clash with one another. In addition, the system’s tests for players become more and more elaborate and difficult, and activities that used to be safe stop being so.
How will the hero and his team face the new challenges? Find out in the audiobook.
