The Oracle of the Dog

On the seaside of Yorkshire, in his own garden, under a gazebo, Colonel Druys is murdered with a dagger in the back. No murder weapon was found, and no other traces of the criminal. The killer couldn’t enter the gazebo unnoticed—this is confirmed by a good dozen witnesses.

No other way to explain it—some otherworldly forces are involved. But Father Brown won’t be fooled; he’s already accustomed to investigating similar crimes, and this time, no one else but a dog-oracle will come to his help.
