Calls were heard for a crusade by Bernard of Clairvaux and by Pope Eugene. They proclaimed a Crusade against the Slavs, and its main motto was: “Baptism or death!” Thousands of warriors from all over Europe marched north. And lead them were kings—German Conrad and French Louis.
It seems impossible to stop the Crusade: too many warriors want to destroy the unyielding Veneds and seize their riches. However, the Slavs do not think so. They are ready to meet the enemies with blades, and allies rush to their help from Novgorod and Sweden, Prussians and Finns. The best warrior detachments move out to meet the Crusaders. These units bring war onto Catholic land, and along with them fights the knight Vadim Sokol from Rarog, who is certain that he can change the course of history and protect the Slavic lands.
