Taiga Ri is a pseudonym of a writer working in the genre of heroic fantasy and gaining popularity thanks to the book cycle “Storm Hunting.” The series has a tilt toward Asian fantasy; the events described in it take place in a world similar to ancient China.

The main heroine, Waiyu Blau, is given a chance to change her life and the fate of her clan. Being the last surviving in her family, she ended up in prison and awaited execution. But ten of her ancestors were willing to deprive themselves of afterlife existence in the underworld world in order to get a chance to correct the clan’s fate. And now Blau—again a small girl—finds herself in a dark cave, bitten by scorpions. Her task is to survive, grow stronger, and not only prevent the clan’s decline, but also make it more resilient and numerous.

In the novel “The Ritual,” the third book in the “Storm Hunting” series, Waiyu Blau continues her work and tries to bring back everyone she can into the clan. But it turns out that the ones she brings closer betray her or die. To achieve her goal, the heroine is even willing to agree to an engagement with a powerful owner of powerful artifacts. In addition, she keeps developing her level in magic.
