Taiga Ri is the pen name of a writer who works in the genre of heroic fantasy and gained popularity thanks to the book cycle “Thunder Hunting.” The series leans toward Asian fantasy; the events described take place in a world resembling ancient China.

The main heroine, Vaiyu Blau, is given a chance to change her life and the fate of her clan. The last survivor in her family ended up in prison and awaited execution. But ten of her ancestors expressed their willingness to give up their afterlife so that her clan could get a chance to set its fate right. And so Blau—again, a little girl—found herself in a dark cave, bitten by scorpions. Her task is to survive, grow stronger, and not only prevent the clan’s decline, but also make it more resilient and numerous.

Vaiyu Blau is preparing for a tournament where she will face a personal fatal duel. Its outcome will determine her future, because at stake is not just the heroine’s victory, but the fate of her entire clan.
