Over the seventy years since the global nuclear Apocalypse, the world has changed beyond recognition. Even that part of it—which once was called Russia—has changed.
Cities turned into fortified settlements, living by their own laws. Huge, deserted spaces separate them—places where you can run into anything and anyone.
People have changed too. A new generation has grown up, used to paying for food with bullets—used to valuing every day they manage to live, because tomorrow may not come. Used to trusting no one… except, perhaps, their own hands and a properly sighted machine gun.
One of these men, the free shooter Stas, walks across the unfortunate land once known as central Russia. New contracts, gangs, sects, and encounters with old acquaintances await him. He’s heading toward a clash with a new force called the Legion. And he has a Secret. Precisely because of it, he sets up a deadly game with the highest stakes.
