A global war broke out. Hell slipped its chains and swallowed the Earth. Cities lie in ruins dusted with the ash of their inhabitants. But humanity didn’t cease to exist as a species. The survivors of humankind hid in deep burrows, lay low, and waited it out. Seventy years have passed since the Armageddon. Humanity is slowly getting back on its feet, relearning how to exist in a changed world where any settlement is a fortress besieged by a hostile forest, and totalitarian city-states fight each other for influence and resources. Stas, a freelance gunman, whose well-being depends only on himself and his trusty automatic rifle, heads to one of the forts to discuss his future work with a potential employer.
