More than 40 years after the brief but devastating nuclear war of 2012, the city of Arzamaz-16 was rebuilt. In 2053 it became a mid-sized city with several enterprises and cheap labor. An ordinary resident could earn twenty coins in a week, while a mutant earned only ten for the same work. However, a mutant nicknamed the Collector, or Kol, didn’t want to turn into rubble by working in a gypsum mine. He preferred to earn his living by hunting heads—sometimes killing not only the targets, but also their customers. But his life became more complicated, because mysterious monsters from radioactive ruins were hunting him.
