An assassination attempt is made on a major Russian oligarch. They tried to kill him in a very sophisticated way: the criminal treated the oligarch’s bed linens with a powerful poison. It would have been enough for the oligarch to lie down in bed for a fatal outcome to be inevitable. Very soon, under the wheels of an automobile, the oligarch’s laundress dies. Then, with signs of severe poisoning, the maid is taken to the hospital… Terrified by how quickly death is weaving its web, the oligarch turns to the well-known expert analyst, Drongo. Almost as soon as he begins investigating, Drongo concludes that the culprit is part of the oligarch’s immediate circle. He starts systematically questioning the younger brother, the wife, the son, the daughter, the oligarch’s driver—and doesn’t immediately notice that death is already breathing down his neck…
