In Moscow, a U.S. citizen dies in a car accident—she is the daughter of a prominent American politician. Her death, which occurs under rather strange circumstances, and the subsequent forensic examination raise many questions for the U.S. consulate. Meanwhile, the Russian side clearly isn’t able to provide any sufficiently complete answers, often simply evading them. And then the father of the victim decides to take a different route: he contacts the world-famous expert Drongo and asks him to conduct an unofficial investigation. Drongo agrees willingly, but as soon as he starts, he realizes: he has stepped to the edge of a precipice…
