Cure for Happiness

After being provoked by a swindler promising paradise-like living conditions, the vast majority of the Planet’s residents leave their colony on hastily built starships and head out in search of Earth. Only one fifth of the population remains on the Planet—and these are far from the best people. But soon the “arks” begin returning to the Planet en masse, and all the settlers on them—including the crews—are found in a sort of coma… People come to their senses, but only for a short while, and then they die. The cause of this strange illness will have to be figured out by an ordinary orderly, because there are no doctors left on the Planet.
