The air smells of pine needles, all around — a July taiga. I’m a gamekeeper who knows it like the back of his hand, stalking a boar. And then—bang—shots ring out and darkness.

I wake up to find I… am seventeen years old. And my name is now Max.

Now I’m in the fragile body of this sickly little guy whom the locals avoid. On my hands are red tattoos of a beast-hunter.

I need to catch my first pet, survive, and help my family. Get used to this crazy world. A world where people hide behind shaky walls, fighting for survival, while forests are full of magical creatures.

I will learn to be a Beast-Hunter and use all my knowledge.
