The Virus of Hatred

6 hrs. 30 min.
The novel tells about wartime events—the fates of unknown heroes who were part of “Beria’s special forces.” In 1944, Soviet command received information about the plans of the fascists to poison the area in the west of Ukraine by spreading poisoned toys, sweets, and clothing. Maksim Shelestov and his group are tasked with finding and destroying the train carrying these dangerous “gifts.” They discover documents that can help them find the storage location of a deadly virus. Shelestov realizes that they have only hours and minutes left before the fascists carry out their plan. The book describes events similar to the story of the real Abwehr agent Nelidov, who ended up at Lubyanka in 1939. Over 10 million copies of the author A. Tamonikov’s books were sold.
