Guilt

Does guilt exist to such a degree that anyone can judge it? Nikolai Illarionovich Odintsov, a former political officer of an intelligence company and a retired police lieutenant colonel, has lived by the letter of the law all his life. But now, as an old man, he suddenly finds himself in a situation where he can’t help but judge as the human conscience commands.
