A distant future in which humanity has long mastered new planets, adapting them for life. Technically, the most advanced are the inhabitants of the planets belonging to the Consortium. They are so advanced that they have learned to create an army of artificially grown soldier-replicants. They don’t give them names—they assign numbers. After all, a weapon has no name. Replicants are not afraid of death; for them, carrying out an order is more important than survival. They know nothing about ordinary life—only training and combat matter to them.
