A Weapon Has No Name. Book 2

13 hrs. 26 min.
A distant future in which humanity has long mastered new planets, adapting them for life. Technically, the most advanced are the inhabitants of the planets belonging to the Consortium. They are so advanced that they have learned to create an army of artificially grown soldier-replicants. They don’t give them names—they assign numbers. After all, a weapon has no name. Replicants are not afraid of death; for them, carrying out an order is more important than survival. They know nothing about ordinary life—only training and combat matter to them. And yet they are not robots: they have feelings and their own view of the world.

Two replicants carry out a mission on an enemy planet. Their goal is to deliver two girls with valuable information to the Consortium’s territory. Replicants aren’t used to questioning orders. However, long interaction with their escorted charges and the absence of direct commands from above gradually affect those who are considered not people, but merely weapons. What will happen if replicants start behaving more like humans? Will it lead to a fatal outcome for their mission—or will it make them even more deadly and unpredictable for the enemy?
