Jack Stanton serves in Tardion’s forces and pilots a light robot, a “targar.” There is plenty of combat work, one airborne operation follows another. For his courage and skill Jack is respected by both his superiors and his comrades-in-arms, and in the end his sabotage talents do not go unnoticed by the enemy — Arkon counterintelligence. Having analyzed the damage inflicted by Jack, they decide to organize a personal hunt for him. Air strikes, attacks by elite units, and banal assassination attempts in urban settings are all brought into play.
