Vova Bo is the pen name of a Russian-language fantasy writer whose fame came from series of fantastical novels. One of his most successful projects is the "Rorkh" book series, created in the setting of LitRPG. The series won the literary contest "New Frontier" held on the Author.Today portal by the publishers "1C-Publishing" and "Magic Dome Books". And here’s the result: the first book in this cycle has already been translated into English for sale on Amazon.
Rorkh is a virtual world safe by day and deadly by night. That is why only the most desperate and bold play after dark. The key nuance is that death of a player character in this world is fatal, while a new life costs a lot of money.
The main hero, having lost his character—or, as they say, his "hunter"—rents someone else’s and, using that, performs an important service for a strong guild of players. In the end, he receives an invitation to join them and even the chance to acquire a new hunter on favorable terms.
The training period for Arch is drawing to a close. The events of the second book begin right in the middle of a party, when the main hero wakes up in a locked room without weapons or equipment and tries to figure out what happened to him. But even here, Rorkh won’t leave the player in peace, deciding to present a difficult choice. There’s an option to earn some good money again—but he’ll have to risk everything once more, fighting all the monsters of the city at the same time. Or he can finish the quest quietly and peacefully and complete his training in the guild.
In addition, new characters appear in the arena. The united guild of dehunters opens a hunt for Jax—the hunter of Arch. From the shadows emerges a legendary player who has his own claims against Arch. What’s more, Rorkh itself starts throwing obstacles in Arch’s way, as if testing the hero’s mettle. Of course, Arch has support from his team, mentors, and new comrades. But is that enough?
Because in Rorkh there are no immortals, and Arch has been getting out alive from one trouble after another for far too long…
