Another high-society season in London. But it won’t end as boringly as the previous ones. The disgusting word “blackmail,” like a pervasive London fog, hung in the air. “Who wants to profit from the sins of society lionesses?”—this question arises for Scotland Yard inspector Roderick Alleyn.
