In the near future, cryptomorphs have appeared among us—creatures with dangerous paranormal abilities. Driven by a mysterious impulse, they now pose a lethal threat to the other people, who have formed an organization called BLOCK—the Bureau for the Elimination of Dangerous Cryptomorphs. But are these creatures really so dangerous? And what are they truly pursuing?

These questions are meant to be answered by Mark Veres and Kira Koval—two BLOCK agents who must work together, overcoming conflicting feelings. Soon, Mark and Kira realize: each of them is keeping secrets capable of destroying the other’s life.
