A run-at-the-mouth viscount has decided to take over my business, and the deranged chimeraologist—butcher—has set an army of underground mutants on me. As for my beloved assistant, Valeria, the corrupt girlfriends and local thugs have put a bounty on her. They all think I’m just an ordinary, hapless veterinarian with no connections or power—and that’s their biggest mistake. My trained monkey rips the heads off ancient demons with its bare hands; a gossipy macaw, a marauder, calmly rises again from the dead; and I myself, to protect my employees, can easily grow a scorpion’s stinger and give my offenders a bloody bath.
