A Perfect World for a Chimerologist 4

Do you think it’s easy to be a “simple” veterinarian in a world full of magic and monsters? I thought so too—until I decided to open, in addition to the clinic, a cute contact café as well. Only my “little animals” are full of quirks: a battle-ready macaque armed with assault rifles, a dog that bites monsters in half, and a whole army of intelligent hamster saboteurs. And on guard duty I’ve got my old-timer grandpas—veterans who were written off and destined for the scrap heap—whom I’m slowly turning into unstoppable supersoldiers.

But brewing healing potions in peace is not something they let me do. Local thugs try to burst into my doors, someone has launched a full-scale hunt for chimera scholars, and brazen aristocrats are attempting to muscle in on my cozy business with threats. On top of that, I have to regularly descend into terrifying dungeons and the Wild Lands to break down giant, many-ton creatures into fresh ingredients.
