The events in this light novel take place in an almost lifeless world where all around there are deserts inhabited by insect-like monsters… But what about people? Humanity is forced to live in mobile cities protected by protective domes. And in order to distribute natural resources as fairly as possible, people came up with an original solution. They hold competitions between the cities—so in each mobile city special attention is given to the military training of future competition participants.
And one fine day, a newcomer named Leifon Arsei f appears at the academy of the city of Zenri. This kid has simply incredible combat abilities, but despite that, he chooses a peaceful specialty. However, there’s no escaping fate, and he is transferred to the Faculty of Martial Arts and enrolled in the 17th unit. This is a special unit, because it is believed that it gathers all the failures from the academy. After getting to know his new partners better, he realizes that behind each of them stands their own unique story… And he himself radically changes his attitude toward fighting.
