The events in this light novel take place in a nearly lifeless world filled with deserts where insect-like monsters live… but what about people? Humanity is forced to live in mobile cities protected by defensive domes. And to at least distribute natural resources according to the rules, people came up with an original solution: they hold competitions between cities. That’s why in every mobile city special attention is given to military training for future participants.
And one beautiful day, a newcomer named Leifon Alseif appears at the academy in the city of Zenry. This young man has simply unbelievable combat abilities, but despite that, he chooses a peaceful specialty. Yet fate can’t be avoided, and he is transferred to the Faculty of Martial Arts and assigned to the 17th squad. This is a special unit, because it is believed that all the failures from the academy end up there. After getting to know his new partners a bit better, he realizes that behind each of them stands a unique story… And he himself fundamentally changes his attitude toward fighting.
