The “Polar Fox” team, which entered into an alliance with the USSR, helped the Red Army buy time and, at the border battle, break the Barbarossa plan. The Wehrmacht suffered heavy losses and bogged down along the old border line in Ukraine and along the Dnieper–Western Dvina border in Belarus and the Baltics—unable to take even a single further step. But Hitler orders his generals to gather the last reserves and prepare a new offensive on Moscow, so that even in the foreboding of the inevitable defeat, they can push the front line as far east as possible. Germany is badly wounded, but still powerful, and the Red Army, for the most part, has not yet gained the proper combat experience. Now the Soviet command and their allies from the Galactic Empire face the task of repelling the final Teutonic onslaught and seizing the initiative in the war.
