For several years now, Liza has been living in strict frugality, because she and her husband are saving up for an apartment—and at last their dream has come true! The apartment is bought, but the husband asks for one more small squeeze: think about the future, save for future children!

But Liza accidentally finds out that she has nothing to do with the apartment they bought—that her husband simply used her. Fortunately, the money Liza had already considered lost forever was recovered with the help of a couple of lawyers, but where does that leave Liza now? She understands that her husband will try to get to her and take back the money he’s already gotten used to considering his own. The only way out is to leave for an old family country house—one her almost-ex-husband knows nothing about! Who could have thought that in that place Liza would find both herself and the spot where she feels comfortable, and people with whom it’s good and calm—and even Mamiay’s kitten. And also a neighbor with a taxi and a terrible temper, with whom they immediately couldn’t agree on their shared fence…
