“The Invasion of the Mongols” is the historical trilogy by Vasily Yan (1875–1954) about the western conquests of the Mongols (the Mongol conquest of Central Asia and the Western campaign of the Mongols) and about the resistance of the ancestors of the Soviet peoples in the first half of the 13th century; the author’s largest and best-known work. It consists of novellas (novels): “Genghis Khan” (“Чинґісхан”, 1939), “Baty” (1942), “To the ‘Last Sea’” (1955).
