Sam has always relied on her older sister, Elena, who is a year older, and she’s gotten used to doing exactly what she says. In childhood, their native island of San Juan seemed like a real fairy tale: you could wander through the forest endlessly, swim in the ocean, and play for whole days. But the older the girls get, the more ruthless reality becomes: their mother is diagnosed with a fatal illness, work is scarce, money is constantly short—and then COVID comes crashing in, too… Still, Sam holds on to hope with all her might—to get through this period and one day, together with Elena, escape into the big world.
But suddenly a huge wild bear appears on the island—and the sisters’ dreams are thrown into jeopardy.
