Evil Rus. Winter 1237

Autumn of 1237. The Russian lands are frozen with тревога: in the steppe near the headwaters of the Voronezh River, an enormous horde of Batu is gathering. The Prince of Ryazan, Yuri Ingvarievich, is amassing strength on the border and sending messengers asking for help to Vladimir and Chernihiv. Because if help from neighbors doesn’t arrive in time, the principalities of Ancient Rus will be swept away one after another: the warriors will die in a bloody melee, women and children will be taken prisoner, and cities and villages will turn to ashes.

But one morning, a man from our time wakes up inside the body of a young warrior, Yegor, from the border outpost of Yelets. It’s a history student—an amateur reenactor. With knowledge of the future, will he be able to change the course of history and prevent the tragedy during the remaining few weeks before the invasion? Or will he himself become one of the grains of sand that the Mongol horde will sweep away on its path?
