Darkness

In a remote place in the north of Iceland, a mutilated body is found. Police officer Ari Thor, who is tasked with investigating the crime, tries to gather all information about the victim in order to understand the causes of the tragedy.

But the identity of the murdered person is of interest not only to the policeman. A parallel investigation is also conducted by a journalist from Reykjavik, and she is driven not only by the desire to write a sensational report. At the same time, in an abandoned village near the crime scene, a Nepali girl languishes locked up, waiting for death… The mysteries keep multiplying, the past plays with the present, tension grows, and the plotlines intertwine into a tight knot.
