An amazing event—an enormous operation: a journey on an atomic cruiser from the early 2000s to 1982!
How did it all start?.. It’s the early 2000s: the heavy atomic cruiser “Peter the Great,” the Barents Sea, a meeting with a damaged British submarine… And then an anomaly—an interruption of the space-time metric—and… On the other end: the South Atlantic, the year 1982; on the map of the USSR it’s all there—Cold War in full swing and everything else. After passing combat trials, they arrived in the Union… And three years later, the leadership in Kremlin offices decided to do it—especially since scientists managed to compute the return algorithms and conditions: to pay a return visit in their own time, back to the early 2000s.
For the scientists, it was a grand test.
For the political leadership, it was an important mission—to establish contact by sending a special representative, with long-term military-political and economic goals.
For the military… The USSR Navy, for some reason, allocated an entire combat ship for the operation—the anti-submarine cruiser “Moskva”—to ensure its stability.
If only they’d known…
