Valentin Bakanin, the forty-year-old head of the “Zeus” conglomerate, ended up in pretrial detention in the Ural city of Alexandburg under false accusations of murder. In fact, Bakanin’s business partners—whom he considered friends—tried to get rid of him by using the services of corrupt prosecution and police officers. Intervention by Alexander Turtsky is required to restore justice… The novel addresses the important issue of corruption in law enforcement agencies.
