Four young people died. It has to be determined whether they took their own lives—or if someone helped them. The police believe that all four were pushed toward suicide by Richard Hammond, a psychologist and hypnotist. But Gurney finds this version unconvincing and begins his own investigation. Which leads him to a story that happened many years ago in a children’s summer camp.
