What would happen if, in the distant past, instead of a special-operations paratrooper who could fell enemies in bunches with his bare hands, instead of an engineer-physicist ready to spur technological progress to terrify the enemy and delight himself, there were simply an ordinary person who, in essence, only has knowledge of management theory—and quite a lot of life experience? What if he ends up not in the body of a prince or a mighty warrior, but as a teenager from a forest backwater of Prypyat? Or maybe there are things more important—and even спасительні—than brawling skills or the ability to make nitroglycerin out of whatever you have in the field? What if, despite the gap of nine centuries, people remain the same people as their modern counterparts, and the core values—love, honesty, conscience, family ties, patriotism (forgive me, “common people”!)—stay the same?
