Another tangled case of the retired—at long last—Alexey Leonidov. A riddle for one day: Leonidov worked out who the criminal was, so to speak, without leaving the cash desk—bank cash desk. Deciding to sell the apartment inherited by Alexey, he became involved in a complicated deal in which, as it turned out later, a swindler had also slipped in. As a result, eight million rubles disappeared from the bank cell! The deal is under threat, and Leonidov can easily be left without money. He needs to understand how those eight million vanished; intuition tells the experienced detective that for such money they might even kill someone! And then there’s coronavirus—panic among the deal participants… In short, this crime could have happened only in the era of “new normality.”
