English writer Diana Wynne Jones is considered the last great storyteller. Based on her bestseller “Howl’s Moving Castle,” the famous animator Hayao Miyazaki made an eponymous animated film. Every one of the worlds she creates is astonishing and unique! There are wicked witches, and there are good ones too—but in this world, the lives of both kinds end the same way: at the stake.
