You're a Witch!

Every resident of the Bright Empire knows: Hellville belongs to them.

Every resident of the Dark Lands is convinced: the little town on the edge of the bogs—Hellville—is theirs. That’s it.

But what do the Hellville residents themselves think about it? They don’t have time to ponder much: they have plenty of worries. Either the striga is up to mischief on the spikes, or ghouls in the graveyard are sowing fear in good townspeople, or—on top of everything—a black witch is burning at the stake for the third time this autumn. And they can’t burn her out completely!

And it’s all because Father the Holy has a burning quota for burning witches—higher than even the flames of the inquisitorial fire beneath the very foul Magda Fox. So God’s servant has to pay the devil a whole solid gold for every burning, just to keep the reports intact. But there’s a small snag: Magda is a mage with a bright gift—she simply disguises herself skillfully. But for what purpose?

That’s the question that one disgraced black magician banished to Hellville by the Dark Lord started asking. And that’s when it becomes clear: in Hellville everything isn’t what it seems at first glance. Even Lady Eyta, mistress of Madness, has a real chance of going mad there.
