Catch the Seal

"Catching the Seal" is a fantastic short story by Nadezhda Mamayeva, included in the cycle “Bright and Dark,” genre: romantic fantasy, humorous fantasy.

The morning is good already—if you woke up on your own, and not because a necromancer dragged you up. But if, after a night shift, you learn that from now on the necromancer will be your colleague, then the morning is definitely evil. And so are you—too!

How else could it be for a bright sorceress—ritualist. An officer-investigator who catches dark mages who broke the law. And then one of the Sons of the Dark—and your partner? No way!

But even the gloomy sorcerer sent to help with the investigation, it seems, isn’t thrilled about the new coworkers. What can come of this? Hatred? Or will they still manage to work together and sort out a very tangled case? And not only that…
